Description
Pelling, a beautiful petite town sited at a height of 6800ft was initially covered with wild thick forest which served as home to many indigenous wild animals of that period including Wildman( may not be yeti though). This ridge being situated in between two old Buddhist monasteries (Pemayangtse and Sangacholing) developed into a full-fledged village named Pelling. Today, Pelling is one of the best-chosen tourist hotspots in Sikkim. More than that, Pelling is the heart where all the breathtaking tourist spots of West Sikkim can be visited.
A destination for all seasons, Pelling has hotels and resorts catering to all budgets. Named after the guardian deity of Sikkim, Khangchendzonga Festival is held at Pelling every year.
The famous Pemayangste monastery is less than a kilometre from here and is a major tourist hotspot. Pelling also has sites for mountain biking, rock climbing, village tours, meditations, apart from serving as a base for a number of treks in the region. The scenic town of Pelling is a perfect holiday destination for all nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts.

Day 01: Bagdogra:
Meet on arrival at Bagdogra Airport and transfer to a hotel. Relax and overnight
Day 02: Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri (by Train) / Darjeeling: (110 kms/ 4hrs)
Morning breakfast, checkout and proceed to board the train to New Jalpaiguri Station.
Meet on arrival at NJP Railway station and transfer to Darjeeling. On arrival check into hotel. Evening free. Overnight.
Day 03: Darjeeling
Morning breakfast, proceed for half-day tour to Rock Garden and Ava Art Gallery, Boating in Gangamaiya Lake. Evening free. Overnight.
Day 04: Darjeeling
Early Morning at 03:30am proceed to Tiger Hill to see the breath taking sunrise over the Kanchandzonga Range of Himalayas. While returning visit the Ghoom monastery and Batasia Loop. Afternoon proceed for local sightseeing of Darjeeling, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) & Zoological Part, Tensingh Rock and the famous tea gardens of Darjeeling. Evening free. Overnight.
Day 05: Darjeeling / Gangtok (160 kms /5 hrs)
Morning breakfast, checkout and proceed to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. This drive is along the side of the famous Teesta River and an experience. On arrival check-in to hotel. Evening free. Overnight.
Day 06: Gangtok
Morning breakfast, proceed for half a day tour, visit Tibetology, Dorchul Chhorten Stupa, Rumtek monastery & Govt. Handicraft Centre. Evening free for shopping. Overnight.
Day 07: Gangtok
Morning breakfast, proceed for full day tour of Tsongha Lake at an altitude of 12,000 feet. Return to hotel. Evening free. Overnight.
Day 08: Gangtok / Kalimpong ( 105kms /4hrs):
Morning breakfast, checkout and proceeed to Kalimpong. On arrival check in to a hotel. Afternoon visit to Dzong Do Palri Fo-Brang Gompa, Flower Nurseries and Sericulture Research Institute. Evening free. Overnight.
Day 09: Kalimpong / New Jalpaiguri ( 70kms / 3hrs) / Bagdogra ( by Train):
Morning breakfast, checkout and proceed to New Jalpaiguri railway station to board the train to Bagdogra.
Meet on arrival at Bagdogra Railway station and transfer to Hotel. Relax and overnight.
Day 10: Bagdogra / Kolkata:
Morning breakfast, check out and proceed to airport to board the flight for onward destination.
Kolkata Extension:
Day 10: Bagdogra / Kolkata:
Meet on arrival at Kolkata Airport and transfer to a hotel. After noon half a city tour visit Howrah Bridge, Victoria Memorial and Belur Math. Back to Hotel. Overnight.
Day 11: Kolkata:
Morning breakfast proceed for local sightseeing visit Birla Mandir – built of Sandstone & Marble has silver & Belgian glass artefacts, Botanical Garden - The most important garden in the city. A 250 year old Banyan tree is the special attraction, Saint Paul’s Cathedral Beautiful architecture and exquisite mural paintings of the life and work of St. Paul captivates the visitors, The Mother House - has the tomb of Mother Teresa and a simple museum chronicling Mother’s life.
Day 12: Kolkata:
According to flight timings drop to Kolkata Airport to board the flight for onward destination. Tour Ends.
